Matt Groening was born in Portland Oregon in 1954. Matt's mother was a teacher while his father made his living as a filmmaker, writer, adviser, and cartoonist. not being the biggest fan of the books, Matt turned to his love for drawing and creating characters instead of school. during the late mid-1980's, Matt made his first debut as an artists with his comic strip titled "Life in Hell" when the emerging cartoonist moved to Los Angeles. after becoming a part of the newspaper, Matt was contacted by James Brooks, a television producer, where Groening started to create his fist cartoon on air,"The Simpsons".
