"On April 19 1775 fighting began at Lexington.The British was fighting the continental Army, but by early 1777 France intervened to help the rebels.The revolution began because of high taxes imposed on the colonists from the british, strict unfair trade regulations, and a wish for independence and "constitutional rights." American and French army then beat British forces at Yorktown in 1781, which was the last big battle ending the war."
