The book called The World is Flat by Thomas Friedman explains the process of how globalization took shape. He focuses on several elements that contributed to the rise and spread of globalization in the past couple decades. Some of the more important benchmarks in Friedman's book are illustrated on my time-line. This follows the progress that globalization has taken.
