I selected Stonewall Jackson for my auto-biography. He was born in Clarksburg, Virginia in 1824, and was a great general and soldier. Jackson fought in the Mexican War and the Civil War. Although he fought for the Confederates in the Civil War, he was still a good person. His war tactics won many wars for America. General Jackson is important to me because I am interested in war tactics and he was a true strategizing master.I enjoy learning about war strategies and playing war games, so he interested me. Stonewall Jackson is most famous for his war techniques, especially at the battle of Bull Run where he formed a line to keep the Union from Penetrating. "Jackson was a stern disciplinarian, but his subordinates and his men trusted him and fought well under his leadership. A master of rapid movement and surprise tactics, he kept his intentions sometimes so veiled in secrecy that often his own officers did not fully know his plans until they were ordered to strike." He died in 1863, but will forever be one of the greatest generals of all time.
