Since the creation of radio, advertising has been an integral part of its culture and development.within a few years of its development the first commercial was aired, and by the end of that decade, radio advertising was a multimillion dollar industry.There's always been a struggle to strike the right balance between content and advertising.While most radio stations support themselves by selling airtime, others have chosen to forgo advertising altogether.Private sponsorships, subscription models, and public donations have all been used as alternatives to advertising.radio itself has moved from AM to FM to "HD radio" to Internet to satellite, constantly modifying the way ads are delivered for maximum effect.
