The Reign of Chandragupta Maurya
Maurya, who ruled 322–298 BCE, was the founder of the Mauryan Empire.
He was considered to be the one of the greatest rulers of India. The
Mauryan Empire lasted until 185 BCE, having a total span of 137
years.Chandragupta's empire spanned from Afghanistan in the West,
Bengal in the East, the Deccan plateau in the South and Kashmir in the
North; which made it the most powerful empire of its time.
