Buys shares in the Royal African Company

1671
In 1671 Locke, along with Lord Shaftsbury and many others, buys shares in the Royal African Company - the slaving company set up by the Stuart family and London merchants once the former retook the English throne in the English Restoration of 1660 led by James, Duke of York, Charles II's brother.
Locke sold his shares at a profit in 1675.
