Bullying has often been offered as the link between bullying and school violence and since the Columbine shooting has attracted increasing attention. Since the 1999 rampage at Colorado's Columbine High School both of the shooters, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were classified as gifted children and had been victims of bullying for years.
